Card # 6 (Animals)

1. People keep animals as pets in all countries: in Idia, England, Canada, America and in Russia. These animals often become the most favourite members of the family. People look after them, teach them different tricks and buy them food, presents and even clothes. The most favourite pets in all the countries are kittens and cats, puppies and dogs. But many people keep parrots and other birds at home. Sometimes they've got hamsters and tortoises, monkeys and snakes, frogs and fishes as pets.

 2. Sometimes little wolves, foxes, bears and crocodiles can become pets, too. People sometimes find little animals in the forests, fields, mountains and other places. The cubs have no mothers to take care of them, they can't live without any help. People often take them home and look after them.They try to help.   

3. I know a lot of domestic animals and birds. They are pigs, cows, goats, horses, ducks, hens, chickens, rabbits.

4. I know a lot of wild animals. They are foxes, bears, wolves, tigers, lions, giraffes, panthers, crocodiles, rhinoceroses, polar bears.

5. When autumn comes, the days become shorter and it becomes colder. A lot of birds can't find food under the snow, so they fly to warmer countries.They come back in spring.

6. I've got a pet. It's a cat. It is a big black and white cat. His name is Murzik. He has got long hair. Murzik likes to run, jump, play with me and sleep. It's difficult to teach him tricks. But I love him very much because he is very funny.
