“Turn” as a phrasal verb

Turn (around, out, over, up, into, inside out, upside down, down, on, off)

turn around

• to change position or direction so as to face the other way; to make someone or something do this (развернуться, повернуться)

• Turn around and let me look at your back.

• I turned my chair around to face the fire.

turn out

• to happen in a particular way; to develop or end in a particular way (оказаться):

• Despite our worries everything turned out well.

• You never know how your children will turn out.

turn over

1. to turn something such as a page in a book or a sheet of paper so that the other side is towards you (перевернуть страницу):

You may turn over your exam papers now.

2. to change the position of your body when you are lying or sleeping so that you face the opposite direction (перевернуться лёжа):

1) Учебник Упр.№ 3 стр.83 выучить слова к диктанту (прописать по 3 строчки на черновике, проговаривая по буквам).

2) Упр.№№ 1-4 стр. 84-85 назвать профессии и род занятий тех, кто изображен на картинках, назвать имена, профессии, род занятий своих родных (relatives - рэлэтивз).

Образец:

Hello!

Hobbies and Interests Как говорить о хобби и занятиях в свободное время - для учащихся 7-х классов от 21 ноября 2017 года

Как говорить о хобби и занятиях в свободное время - для учащихся 7-х классов от 21 ноября 2017 года:

1) Знайте, что занятие обычно называется с помощью - ing формы глагола (отглагольного существительного), например:

1. reading - чтение - I like reading. - Я люблю читать (чтение).

2. hunting - охота - He likes hunting. - Он любит охотиться (охоту).

3. skiing - лыжи - Mike enjoys skiing. - Майку очень нравится кататься на лыжах.

4. scuba diving - подводное плавание с аквалангом - I hate scuba diving. -

Я терпеть не могу подводное плавание с аквалангом.

2) Запомните конструкции (клише) , которые помогут вам выразить своё отношение к разным занятиям (activities):

1. I like V+ing

2. I love V+ing

3. I enjoy V+ing

4. I hate V + ing

5. I can't stand V+ing (терпеть не могу)

6. I am fond of V+ing (увлекаюсь)

7. I am keen on V+ing (страстно увлекаюсь)

8. I prefer V+ing to V+ing (предпочитаю)

Give a talk on hobbies and interests.

Remember to say:

- why it is important to have a hobby

- why different people have different hobbies

- what hobby you would like to take up, why

I'd like to give a talk on hobbies and interests people have. I think it is really important to have a hobby because, firstly, if you have a hobby, it keeps you busy, develops your mind. For example, if you are fond of reading, you become an interesting person. People will never feel bored when they talk with you. Secondly, it is important to have a hobby because you become a well-rounded person and it won't be difficult for you to get a new profession and to find a new job. Besides, if you have a hobby, you can join a club and meet new friends there.

As people have different talents, they have different hobbies. Some people may be very active and sporty. They go in for risky sports, such as mountain climbing, sky diving, BMX (bicycle motocross). For example, my dad is fond of going hiking. Other people may be interested in history or writing stories. My mum is fond of cooking.

Like other people, I also have a hobby. It is taking pictures. I always take pictures of different places when our family travel to other countries. But I'd like to take up a new hobby. It will be collecting traditional Russian wooden dolls - Matryoshkas. I hope it will help me learn more about Russian traditions.

3) Слушать и повторять слова на аудиозаписи с кассеты №2 задание 38 (mother, father - мама, папа).

4) Называть буквы на карточках.

Фразовые глаголы - сообщение для 7-х классов

Фразовые глаголы (для 7-х классов)

Dear students!

Look at the list of the phrasal verbs you should revise and be ready to fill in gaps on Tuesday, November, 21st.

So, let's get started!

Глагол look:

1) look after somebody/something - take care of - заботиться о ком-либо, чём-либо, присматривать за.

Примеры:

Mike needs a nurse to look after him. - Майку нужна медсестра для ухода за ним.

Will you look after my flowers while I'm away? - Не присмотришь ли ты за моими цветами, пока я буду отсутствовать?

2) look at - взглянуть на что-либо/кого-либо, рассмотреть. изучить (вопрос, проблему).

Пример:

Why are you looking at me so angrily? - Почему ты смотришь на меня так сердито?

3) look for somebody/something - search for - искать кого-либо, что-либо.

Пример: Are you still looking for a job? - Ты всё ещё ищешь работу?

4) look through - study, examine - просматривать, изучать.

Пример:

Look through your notes before the examination. - Просмотри свои записи перед экзаменом.

5) look forward to something/ doing sth. - с нетерпением ожидать чего-либо.

Пример:

We're looking forward to seeing you again. - Мы с нетерпением ждём нашей следующей встречи с тобой.

Глагол take:

1) take after somebody - быть похожим на кого-либо из старших родственников, если речь идет о характере и манерах.

Пример:

Everybody says that I take after my father, but my little brother Paul takes after our mother. - Все говорят, что я похож на отца, но мой маленький брат Павел похож на нашу маму.

2) take away - убрать, унести (прочь), увести (прочь).

Пример:

Could you take the children away: I don't think they should see this film. - Не мог бы ты увести детей (от экрана): я считаю, они не должны смотреть этот фильм.

3) take off - a) снимать (одежду), убирать (с поверхности).

Пример:

Take your coat and hat off, it's quite warm in here. - Сними пальто и шапку, здесь (в помещении) довольно тепло.

b) взлетать ( о самолёте, вертолёте).

Пример:

When is the time for the plane to take off? - В какое время самолёт взлетает?

4) take back - отнести на место, вернуть.

Пример:

Don't forget to take the books back to the library. - Не забудь отнести книги назад в библиотеку.

5) take down - а)снимать (со стены или окна); в) записывать (под диктовку).

Примеры:

I hate this picture on the wall up there and I want to take it down. - Мне не нравится эта картина на стене и я хочу её снять.

Would you like to take my telephone number down? -

Ты не хотел бы записать мой телефонный номер?

2) Раскрасить буквы Dd, Tt и уметь их назвать.

3) Прописать буквы на раздаточных листах и в тетрадях.
