"be back on one's feet" means to "return to good financial or physical health after a difficult period""
Explanation: Usually used when talking about someone who has had a long period of difficulties. It can also be used when talking about sports.
Examples: 1) He is finally back on his feet after his company went out of business.
2) It took us a whole year to get back on our feet after we lost our home in the earthquake.
