Устное высказывание в формате ОГЭ по теме "Выбор карьеры и работа фрилансера" (самозанятого). 

Task 3 You are going to give a talk about your career choice. You will have to start in 1,5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (10-12 sentences).

Remember to say:

-         what jobs are popular with modern teenagers;

-         what job you dreamed of in your childhood and why;

-         who can help you to make your career choice;

-         what your attitude to a freelance job is

Information:

A freelancer’s job is the one you get without having to work from an office. You may have the same salary as an employee going to office, but you have the freedom to work as you please, at the time you want, and at your own pace. Generally, freelancers take up more than one company’s work; something you can’t do at a fixed job, and the pay may be more than a desk job. But there are many setbacks to freelancing. I was fortunate not to have anyone cheating me about the pay, but most start up freelancers face financial issues with their employers not paying on time etc. If you want good, freelancing work there are also sites that will offer you work. On the whole, it’s a decent job, but you must take it up after you have got substantial full time work experience, and after gathering some expertise in your area of work.

I am going to give a talk about jobs popular with modern teenagers and my attitude to a freelance job.

To my mind, the most popular professions with teenagers choose as their future jobs are IT specialists and programmers; I believe that the sphere of technologies will be the most popular and valuable in the future, because we live in the world of advanced technologies nowadays, and they develop very fast. As for part-time jobs for the summer, they are waiters and DJs.

In my childhood I dreamed of the job of a firefighter because I thought firefighters were really brave and noble.

Choosing one's future career is one of the most important decisions a teenager should make being at school. That’s why we turn to different adult people for advice. Sometimes our teachers or coaches can help us to make the right choice because these people know us as their pupils well. Our parents also advise us on our career choice.

As for my attitude to a freelance job, it is not quite definite. On the one hand, a freelancer has more flexible working hours but, on the other hand, only those who have a lot of full time work experience can manage this kind of employment.

As for me, I would like to have a real full time job in future.

Remember to say:

-          why, in the era of TV and the Internet, radio is still popular with some people;

-          what kind of radio programmes young people usually listen to;

-          whether you would like to work for a radio station; why/why not;

-          what your attitude to radio is. 

People still listen to the radio in this era of TV and the Internet. I think that radio is still popular because you can listen to it while you are on your way somewhere. When we are driving to, say, St. Petersburg or to our friends’ dacha we are also  listening to a radio. As far as I know, different hit parades are popular among young people. Personally, I like hit parades on “Like FM”. One of my friends listens to audio books on another station. Another friend of mine listens to analytical programs on “Business FM”. He is going to become a financial analyst. As for me, I would like to try to work at a radio station. I’ve seen many movies where the main characters worked as DJs or hosts at a radio station. So I’d like to try it out. I am sure I would make a good host. It must be very interesting and exciting.
  On the whole, my attitude to radio is positive. Listening to the radio gives a lot of joy and bright emotions.That’s all I wanted to say.

You can help the environment by learning and practicing the 3 Rs: REDUCE, RECYCLE and REUSE!

Choose to reuse

It’s not waste until you waste it! Think carefully about how you can reuse something before you throw it away[1] Make a compost heap in the garden with fruit and vegetable material – it will decompose and make good fertilizer for your plants. Also, if things break, try to repair them before you replace them. Remember that one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure! If you buy a replacement for something you already have, give the old item to someone who can use it. Have your jeans got holes in the knees? Make new shorts out of them or give them to someone who needs them. Don’t throw away empty jars and bottles; rinse them out and use them to store other things.

Turn it down or switch it off

Always switch off the lights when you leave an empty room, and use light bulbs that save energy. You can also switch off the cooker a few minutes earlier – there will still be enough heat to finish cooking the food. Why not take showers in cooler water and for shorter length of time? Finally, turn down the heating and put on warmer clothes if you’re cold.

1.     What ecological problem do you consider the most serious one?

Urban sprawl – разрастание городов за счет сельской местности;

Deforestation – уничтожение лесов;

Water pollution – загрязнение водоемов;

Air pollution – загрязнение воздуха;

Ответ: I consider, there are some of them. However, the most dangerous is deforestation as it leads to climate change.

2.     What is the main source of pollution in your city?

The main sources of pollution are traffic (25%); combustion (сжигание угля, дров, газа и т.п.); agriculture (22%); domestic fuel burning (20%); natural dust and salt (18%); industrial activities (15%); wastes.

Ответ: Personally I think, the main source of pollution in my city is traffic. However, industrial activities are also dangerous for people’s health.

3.     What can young people do to improve the environment in their city?

-         Eliminate (ликвидировать) the use of paper plates and plastic utensils (посуда);

-          Use a refillable water bottle and fill it with tap water!

-         Choose reusable (многоразовые вещи) over (больше) disposable (одноразовые вещи).

-         Repair leaky faucets (чинить текущие краны).

-         Сollect rainwater for use in gardens.

-         Green up your lawn.

In my opinion, young people can do a lot to improve the environment. For example, they could use a refillable water bottle, choose reusable over disposable and green up their lawns.

4. How often do you sort the waste (сортировать отходы)

 before throwing it away?

Waste sorting is a simple process that doesn’t require much time. You should separate from household waste glass, plastic, paper and tin. For these types of waste can be recycled.

Plastic waste, paper /card waste, tins and metals, ceramics and glass.

In general, my family cares about nature. So, waste sorting is a common process for me. We usually separate different types of waste.

Now there are a lot of goods that are made from recycled materials. Toilet paper, clothes, metal cans and even car batteries are on the list.

Ответ:

Yes, I absolutely agree with it. Since (так как) plastic bags do not biodegrade (не разлагаются) they always exist (существуют) in landfills and oceans. We should decrease (уменьшить) the amount of waste, reduce (сократить) land and water pollution.

Sorry I haven’t answered earlier but I was busy with my school project. Hope you didn’t have accidents while hiking!

As for me, I don’t have much time on active holidays because I have a lot of homework. My family is more the stay-at-home sort, so I can’t spend the time with them somehow actively. My company is my friend and, you know, our trips are usually very jolly. I’d like to try rafting this spring, because it implies a well coordinated team work, good reaction and nerves of steel.

I’d better go now as my Dad wants me to help him with his car. Write soon!
